Chinese medicine and especially herbal medicine has a strong history in the treatment of skin disorders. From acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, melasma and rosacea, we have seen good results in many cases. In a condition where long term use of western medicines such as antibiotics, steroids or other drugs may not be appropriate, then Chinese medicine can often provide an excellent alternative. In other cases it may be used alongside traditional medicines.

How It Works
Chinese herbal medicine works on the skin by treating the imbalances in our client’s internal health which then manifest as skin problems. For example, common chronic skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne or dry skin can be treated by improving the health of the Lungs, Spleen, Liver or Kidneys.

The condition of our skin is a reflection of our whole internal health and can be influenced by various external factors. External factors can include diet, lifestyle, environment, stress.

Skin health is often a reflection of the condition of your body’s key internal organs, including Lungs, Stomach, Kidney, Spleen. Chinese Herbal Medicine is an effective and safe treatment for all skin problems as we combine multiple herbs to simultaneously treat the affected organs and thus treat skin problems at their root cause.

How Chinese and Western Medicine Differ

Consultation
Our consultation will last approximately 1 hour, during which time we detailed case history. We will ask you many questions regarding your lifestyle, health, emotions and diet in order to get a full picture of your health and identify your skin disorder triggers.

We will also ask to see photos of the active skin condition.

Based on the information you give us we will recommend the best course of action and treatment plan.
A follow up call in two - four weeks to monitor progress will also be arranged.
